LinkedIn has published information on the actions it takes to prevent member harassment, citing that a staggering 16,626 instances occured in the first 6 months of 2019.

What might seem like an unusual platform on which to be harassed, LinkedIn classes instances as:

"..unkind words to unwanted romantic advancements to hate speech or bullying.."

LinkedIn go on to say:

"While we’re always working to refine and improve the tools we use to prevent or quickly stop harassment, you can play a crucial role, too. We encourage anyone who has experienced harassment to let us know by reporting us directly by filling out a brief form. Once reported, you should no longer see the reported content or conversation in your feed or messaging inbox."
